Some More Lovely Mail

I was the lucky winner of the May OPAM and
this lovely parcel arrived from Peg.
Peg sent me this lovely bag. It is a great size, perfect for projects. There was also a Kit in a Card with a cute reindeer. They were wrapped up in a pretty fat quarter.

Thank you Peg. And thank you to you and Kris
for keeping us inspired with OPAM.

A Little Bluebird!

I got a lovely surprise in the mail.
This little Bluebird hanging flew over from Western
Australia from my lovely friend,
It is stitched on Dublin Linen and it may be a bit hard
to see but Bev's stitching is just beautiful.

Thank you so much Bev.
I'm going to find a special place
to hang my little bluebird.

Friday Night Sew-In

I got an early start to FNSI at Helen's for a sit and sew morning with Mel and Kaye. I worked on my Gentle Domesticity block by Jenny. We had friends over for tea so there wasn't any more stitching done last night.
Today I went to NOTYQ for our Guild meeting and managed to get a bit more stitching done on my block.
There were no scones but Mel and I both enjoyed
one of Barbie's delicious butterfly cakes.
You have to be quick or you miss out!
Thanks to Wendy for hosting us at FNSI.

Kitchen Kapers!

Yesterday was opening day for our
Kitchen Kapers swap with the No Fuss Swappers
We had to send our partners a tea towel, cookie cutter, spatula, recipe card with a favourite recipe
 and a baked cookie.

These are the lovely gifts I received from Sandi from Forevermoore. The tea towel is so pretty. I'm thinking I may make myself an apron with it. The recipe is for Yummy Bailey's Tim Tam Cheesecake Balls. I know someone in this household who will love those!
I sent my gifts to Jan from Little Red Hen. Jan and I were swap partners a few years ago when I first started swapping. It was a colour swap and I remembered that Jan liked green. I had some lovely fabric with different food borders and couldn't decide which one to use. When I found the mushroom cookie cutter I decided to use the mushroom one to match. I know, not everyone matches their
 tea towels with cookie cutters!

The recipe I sent Jan was for my Choc Chip biscuits. I baked an extra large ANZAC biscuit hoping it would travel better and arrive in one piece, which it did.

Thank you to Sandi, Teresa, Helen and Nor for organising this fun swap. The next one is a Claytons Christmas!

parcel all wrapped up and now it's in the mail.
So keep an eye out for it next week, Jan!
It's a cold and wet day here.
Perfect for playing with these!

May OPAM

Well, it is another very quiet month for finishes. Just one!
The Preston bag I made for my mum.
I've been working on several different projects lately
but nothing has been finished. I'll have two to show
you during June though.

Thanks to Peg and Kris for keeping us inspired.

I'm so behind in my blog reading that if you haven't heard from me for a while, that's the reason. Sometimes I just have a quick look but don't leave a comment.
